Ghanaian defender Stephan Ambrosius has set his sight on helping Hamburg SV achieve success after signing a new contract with the German Bundesliga 2 club.
The centre-back born in Germany joined the club as a teenager in 2012 and has since significantly developed his game to become a key asset for the team.
On the back of successful negotiations, Stephan Ambrosius has today signed a contract extension deal to continue playing for Hamburg SV until 2024.
Speaking in an interview after inking the dotted lines of the contract, the towering defender says he is excited to continue with the club.
“I’m very happy that the negotiations were fruitful and I’m able to stay at HSV. It was always a dream of mine to play at the Volksparkstadion,” he said as quoted on the website of Hamburg SV.
According to Stephan Ambrosius, he is now focused on improving more to ensure he is able to help the German side achieve their goals.
“Thanks to the appearances I’ve now made, I’ve been able to swap that giddy excitement at the beginning for enjoyment of the game. I always try to give 100% and want to motivate my teammates too. In the future I want to push on with my development and be successful with the team,” the 22-year-old added.
