Chief Executive Officer of AshantiGold SC, Emmanuel Frimpong has assured that his outfit will make Ghana and the supporters proud ahead of the 2020/21 Caf Confederations Cup campaign.
The Miners will represent Ghana in next season’s competition following a decision by the Executive Council of the Ghana Football Association.
With many calling on the club to boycott next season’s competition, the hierarchy of the club believes the club has what it takes to compete in Africa.
Mr Frimpong in an interview with Asempa FM assured that they will make the country and the supporters of the club proud.
"We have learnt our mistakes from the past and we will make sure we prepare well before we start our Caf Confederations Cup campaign.
"The team is confident and with what I am seeing, we will surely make the country and the supporters proud. We are determined to impress and that is our target," he added.
Ashanti Gold SC last won the Ghana Premier League title in 2015 and compete in Africa during the 2018/29 season but exited at the group phase.
