Going by reports and a tweet from Jude Okoye, who is the elder brother and manager of P-Square music group, P-Square has been signed by renowned music label, Universal Music Group (UMG), South Africa.
They were signed by the South African imprint of the label in Johannesburg, South Africa, today at a press conference held in the city.
Jude announced on twitter some hours ago, "Psquare has been signed to UNIVERSAL MUSIC GROUP… Baba God has done it again."
According to what Nollywoodgists.com gathered, the deal is a music distribution deal. Universal Music Group would be responsible for the distribution of their songs worldwide.
Last year, the group was signed under Akon's Konvict Music. They went ahead to release a remix of one of their songs, Chop My Money, which featured the American music star and their signing, Mister May D.
We are getting feelers that the deal was made possible with the help of Akon, whose label P-Square are also signed on. We also learnt that Akon has a music distribution deal with UMG.
