Two-term Member of Parliament for Dome Kwabenya Constituency, Adwoa Safo says she is confident delegates will retain her in office as the Member of Parliament for the third time bid in the upcoming elections.

According to her, due to her good works for the people of Dome Kwabenya Constituency in her last eight years in office, she believes she will continue to lead the constituents to better lives.

She said, "I believe that the people of Dome Kwabenya have seen the good works I have done. They have seen the developments I have brought. All these among others are feasible and do not need re-echoing. They will retain me."

She added that haven began a fulfilling journey in opposition years ago, her industrious work contributed to the New Patriotic Party (NPP) winning power in 2016.

The lawmaker also revealed that over the last three years under the NPP Government, her Constituency has been fortunate to witness precedented developmental projects.

"Under my watch on education, my constituency has seen the construction of a 6-Unit classroom block at Abokobi Presby, Taifa Community School, Dome Cluster of School among others," she said.

She added that a 12-unit classroom block for the Kwabenya Day Senior High School is also part of the developmental changes she has brought to the constituency.

Speaking on road, she noted that several roads including the reconstruction of Atomic Roundabout-Taifa Bankyease and asphalting of all Taifa Town roads are also part of her works in the last eight years.

Speaking on infrastructure, the Member of Parliament also revealed that under her watch, there have the construction of a modern market complex for the provision of 700 stalls and shops at the Dome Market as well as Taifa Burkina.

"Under health, I have constructed a two storey maternity clinic at Haatso (yet to be commissioned) whiles that of an OPD Block for the Abokobi Health Center is currently ongoing."

Hon Adwoa noted that since the security and safety of her constituents are her topmost priority, she has fixed over 1000 streetlights across the constituency.

She hinted that there is another project of fixing streetlights on all the major roads within the constituency.

She added that in the coming days, she will be coming out with a comprehensive compendium of projects and a manifesto that will underpin her bid for another term in office.

The two-term MP advised her followers to refrain from any violent activities either among themselves or that of her opponent in the coming day.

Adwoa Safo and her team later took to some principal streets of Haatso, Atomic, Taifa among others to submit her Parliamentary nomination forms at the party's office.

In an exclusive with Constituency Chairman for Dome Kwabenya Constituency, Robert Bonsu also known as Chairman Bonsu mentioned that only two persons has picked forms to contest the seat.

"Honourable Adwoa Safo and His Excellency Mike Oquaye Jnr, Ghana's Ambassador to India are the only two who have expressed interest," he added.

He advised the supporters from each faction to show respect to one another and exhibit a level of maturity.
