Flights To Wa Airport To Be Ready In October—Minister
The Wa Regional Airport is expected to be opened for commercial flights by Africa World Airlines (AWA) on October 15 this year.
Aviation Minister, Joseph Kofi Adda, made the announcement in a statement dated September 4, 2019.
The statement indicated that the move was part of government’s commitment to promote seamless air travel in the country.
It said commencement of the commercial flight operations is due to the successful testing and confirmation of the Pavement Condition Number (PCN) of the runway and other facilities that meet international standards of safety.
