A group of Double Track teachers within the Upper West Region have accused the human resource department of Ghana Education Service of Sabotaging the process of generating Staff IDs in the Region.
According to the teachers, the Records Department generated 11 staff IDs in three weeks with the excuse the network is slow.
They questioned how other Regions including Central and Eastern were able to generate more than 400 staff IDs each within the same period and quizzed if those institutions used different systems and Networks.
They suggested there could be something fishy in the process and called on the Director General of Education, Prof. Kwasi Opoku Amakwah and the Regional Director Mr. Evans Kpebah to intervene as the timeline issued is due to be exceeded.
Upper West is to register and process staff ids for 320 teachers for the Double Track System and within the first stage 35 Ids were generated in April of this year, the second badge was released and Upper West was able to register 11 teachers, a shortfall of 24 as compared to the previous 35 prompting for immediate attention, The department is yet to register 274 teachers.
