AG Pastor Urge Ghanaians to be responsible citizens in 2019

The Revival Assembly of the Wa Assemblies of God (AG) Church has called on citizens to try and live up to their civic responsibilities by protecting the environment and eschewing the gullibility of corruption.

'It is quite unfortunate that this country is still riddled with corrupt practices in offices and homes even though majority in Ghana are Christians,' Reverend Robert Akolbugri, the Head Pastor of the church, said in his New Year message in Wa.

'It is very sad that honesty has been thrown to the dogs in our moral fabric,' he said and urged members to show utmost honesty in all their dealings adding, 'No short cut or underhand dealings'.

'Let us make it a point not be worried about who would apprehend or catch me but instead look up to God who sees you in all places and do the right thing'.

The church in 2019 would operate on the theme: 'My Year of Divine Increase Genesis 26:12' in line with bearing the fruit of the spirit.

The church is expected to launch into deep areas of the Upper West Region to spread the gospel with the aim of rescuing souls that are perishing and also work on the spiritual growth of individual members of the church.

The pastor assured members that the grace of God upon the church was stronger and mightier to do good works both in the physical and the spiritual.

In 2019, he said, 'this grace would lift you to higher heights, it would cause an astronomical expansion from all sides'.

'Do your part to work hard and see the salvation of the Lord'.

'Let us be responsible citizens, keep our environment safe especially during this harmattan and eschew bush burning and keep our surroundings clean'.

'Remember cleanliness is next to godliness'.

He urged members of the church to begin something new saying 'don't be deterred by what did not work in the previous year, start afresh and God would crown every small beginning with good success'.

The Head Pastor also expressed his heartfelt condolences to the family of late Reverend Dr David Nabegmado who passed away through 'tragic circumstances' last Sunday when he was preparing to deliver a sermon.
