He said, teachers who are supposed to be role models to their students and impart knowledge into them are doing otherwise, he stated.

You will recently recall that, the Ghana Education Service (GES) has dismissed ten of its staff who were involved in various sexual misconduct among others.

The much talked about 'kitchen stool' headmaster of the Adumanu D/A Basic School in the Central Region, Mr Robert Seppe, was among those who had their appointments terminated for sexual misconduct.

A statement by GES confirming the disciplinary measures against staff showed that the teachers were serving in various parts of the country at both secondary and tertiary levels.

With such, the traditional ruler said, it is absurd to teach your student in class during the day and engage in sexual activity with her in the night.

“Behaviours of some teachers of today are abominable. Why would you engage you student in sexual act in the night after the day’s class. Nana quizzed.

He stated that “I pray it doesn’t happen here because if it does, it will not be good for the culprit.”

Nana Kwabena Amponsah IV made the plain strong statement at the just ended Damang Gold Fields Community Teachers Award at Huni- Valley.
