The MTN Foundation has opened nominations for ‘MTN Heroes of Change’ season 5 to reward exceptionally hardworking individuals who are impacting lives in their communities in the area of Education, Health and Economic empowerment.

The ultimate winner for MTN Heroes of Change Season V will walk away with GH¢100,000 to support his/her work. Three category winners will each receive Gh₵30,000 while the other six finalists will receive Gh₵10,000 each.

Speaking at a press launch in Accra, the Chief Executive Officer of MTN Ghana, Mr. Selorm Adadevoh said MTN seeks to recognize those who with little resources do whatever it takes to touch and bring change in their own ways.

“All we are seeking to do is to identify these heroes, share their stories and celebrate them. Whilst we do that, we also encourage more people to take up similar causes in their communities,” he stated.

Mr. Adadevoh noted that the MTN Heroes of Change over the years, has consistently shown that the Ghanaian has the potential to transform his community.

He added that nothing is more inspiring than to see their vision of being an enabler of societal change being replicated in our communities through the works of these heroes.

“Our mission is to brighten lives; exactly what we are trying to achieve with Heroes of Change. It is to brighten the lives of those who are also touching others,” he stressed.

According to him, over the decades, MTN has been extending telecommunication services across the country by giving every Ghanaian the opportunity to benefit from a connected modern life.

He said innovation holds the key to leapfrogging our little effort into enormous outcomes not just through technology but also through new ways of working.

“As we launch Season V of Heroes of Change let us challenge ourselves and find out how we can use Technology in these live-saving transformational initiatives. It can only get better,” Mr. Adadevoh posited.

The Corporate Services Executive of MTN, Modupe Kadri emphasized that the public interest and support to the MTN Heroes of Change is indeed a manifestation and a reflection of MTNs commitment to the socio-economic development of Ghanaians across the country.

He indicated that the Season V of the MTN Heroes of Change has been revamped with new and exciting features.
