Bawumia Is Ungrateful To Kufour - NDC Man

Deputy Ashanti Regional Communications Director of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Kwaku Asafo Agyei, has lashed out at Vice President Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia for demonizing former President Kuffour and his legacy.

According to him, for Dr. Bawumia to say that the Nana Akuffo Addo led New Patriotic Party (NPP) government within twenty (20) months in office has done well than all the past governments shows his ungratefulness to former President Kuffour.

Speaking to Agya Owusu Ansah concerning the issue, on Otec FM’s “DWABEREM SHOW” Mr. Asafo Agyei stated that Dr. Bawumia doesn't have any credibility to make such statement.

“Has President Akufo-Addo done well in twenty (20) months than Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah? Has President Akuffo Addo done well in Twenty (20) months than Former President Kuffour? Can he be that ungrateful to J.A Kufour? Even if he dislikes NDC, CPP and the rest of the parties can you say President Akuffo Addo has done well in Twenty (20) months than Kuffour’s eight years in office, then former President Kuffour did nothing for the country and the party” Asafo Agyei emphasized.

Mr. Asafo Agyei was reacting to Vice President Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia’s recent statement that after just Twenty (20) months in office, the Akufo-Addo Presidency has done more to digitize and formalize the Ghanaian economy and society than what has pertained in Ghana for several years since independent.

“In just twenty (20) months, we have implemented policies and programmes designed to formalise the economy and make life easier for both the ordinary Ghanaian and businesses. For instance today, through the use of technology, getting a Drivers’ License has been made easier and cut out the need to pay a middleman before accessing an essential service. This is certainly good for the ordinary Ghanaian and business.” Vice President Bawumia stressed.

Bawumia further touted the achievements of the Nana Akufo-Addo’s government in its short stay in office when he addressed participants at the UK-Ghana Investment Summit in Accra on Tuesday 16th October, 2018.

“In fact I know that today no single child in Ghana takes Dr. Bawumia serious if he speaks because he has lost credibility” Mr. Asafo Agyei emphasized.

He added that he is very disappointed in the Vice President for the implementation of the useless National Digital Property Addressing System-GhanaPost GPS which he claims is an achievement than the pass governments.
