The National Democratic Congress has announced the opening of nominations and all aspirants interested to contest the national elections can pick forms between Thursday and Saturday.

Key amongst the communiqué was the guidelines to conduct the elections, who can contest and who can not contest the upcoming elections.

The guidelines strictly prevents two of the obvious people going to serve on the national executive committee of the NDC. These two are Sammy Gyamfi and Ako Gunn all gunning for the position of the communication officer and deputy respectively

Sammy Gyamfi case
Sammy Gyamfi, a hardworking and affable communicator who has won the hearts of many and have shown capacity to deliver when given the opportunity may not see his dream come through because he has not served the party at the Constituency and the Regional levels.

Though Sammy Gyamfi has been a TEIN president, special assistant to the then KMA boss Kojo Bonsu and others, it might not be enough to pass him to contest for the high office of communications officer.

Godwin Ako Gunn case
Another aspirant whose name has been a household name and has also had great following and support from the delegates is Godwin Ako Gunn, a member of the Montie 3.

He is the person many has tipped to deputize Sammy Gyamfi as the deputy communications officer. This dream may also hit the rocks because the directives also barres him from contesting because he has been convicted on grounds of contempt of court.

This will see a lot of people showing interest in contesting for these positions because the popularity of these two aspirants has scarred many from contesting in these positions.
