After Jacob had fought an angel to have his name changed to Israel, God blessed the entire country.

The blessings on Jacob then on to Israel were excellent.

But along the line there were emptiers who ruined such blessings.

On the contrary, God restored the blessings of excellence upon Israel.

What were some of Jacob's blessings of excellence?

1. His name Jacob (meaning a deceiver) was changed to Israel(meaning you have struggled with God and men, you have prevailed) after he had fought an angel at Peniel- Genesis 32:22-31.

2. He was blessed with 12 children.
3. These children became the twelve tribes of Israel.

4. Kings, queens, scribes and prominent personalities came from His blood line

5. Aside everything he loved God.
6. He lived long.
So at a point where the people have ruined such blessings, God restored the excellence of Jacob's blessings upon the nation.

Today, may holy spirit cause the excellence of Jacob's or Israel's blessings locate us in Jesus' mighty name, Amen.
