African Union Day is the annual commemoration of the foundation of the Organization of African Unity on 25 May 1963.

In a remark, the English Teacher, Mr. Anim-Addo said through Social Studies, students are being taught to be conscious as Africans and to be proud of their origin.

"In spite of our crossing, we seem to be lagging behind a lot of things, we want our children to be conscious of the fact that they have a lot if potentials in them and where Africa started and where they are getting now."

In an interview with the Assistant Headmaster, Mr. James Mensah, he stated that Africa has a rich heritage and everyone should be proud of it.

"That is why we don't need to bow to pressure from these Europeans and Americans particularly on this Homosexuality issues," he said.

He further charged the Government to stand firm to tell the Europeans that are trying to make Ghana implement the Homosexuality policy to stay off.

"I like the way Parliament came out a few days ago and stated their position and I think that's the position, Government must take both especially the executives."

Mr. Anim-Addo also took the opportunity to call on Government and Ministry of Health to come out with various programmes, educating the public on health and clean environment for the heavy downpours coming in June.
