University Of Education Winneba, Mampong Chapter Celebrates NUGS Week

Mampong campus of the University of Education Winneba has taken a new turn under the tenure of office of the current local President Mr. Yahaya Seidu with respect to the National Union of Ghana Students (NUGS).

This year's edition of NUGS week celebration promises to be one of its kind in the university's history as it is loaded with a pack of programs.

The program will commence on the 20th through to the 21st April 2018. The first session of this celebration comes with a series of awards in various categories within students domain, dubbed 'Night of Talents and Excellence Awards' and will subsequently be crowned with time with the decision makers on one of the most vital impediments on Ghanian graduates on the topic, 'Is Agriculture a solution to graduate unemployment?'.

Present at the function will be the current minister for food and agriculture as the special Guest of Honour, coupled with a bunch of Chief Executive Officers(CEOs) including the CEO of Ameen Scientific Herbal Hospital and that of Karima Group of Companies.

The program also looks forward to recording the presence of current and former District Chief Executives and as well, some prominent current and former legislators.

The President, Mr. Yahaya Seidu, Mr. Osei Emmanuel Kuffour the local NUGS treasurer who chairs an internal committee within the Union, and as well the project coordinator, Mr. Abdul Samad Idrdrissu are however optimistic that, this year's NUGS week celebration promises to be one of its kind in the history of the school.

He urged the entire university community and the good people of Ghana to come in their numbers and crown this year's celebration with a historical remark.
