Patapaa Accuses Charterhouse Of Taking Money From Artiste
16.04.2018 LISTEN

Patapaa Amisty has accused organizers of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards, Charterhouse, of taking money from Fancy Gadam whose song won the most popular song of the year award.

Fancy Gadam’s song total cheat which features rapper Sarkodie won the most popular song award at the 2018 Vodafone Ghana Music Award which went down at the Accra International Conference centre (AICC).

The one corner hit maker missed out on the award yesterday but believes strongly that his song that traveled beyond the boarders of Ghana should have won him the award on the night.

“An artiste should be rewarded based on his work and nothing else”, Patapaa cried out when he was interviewed by Adom TV after the award show.

An upset Patapaa refused to speak English and asked his interviewer to speak Fante because the anger he was feeling was intense and wished to pour his heart out in the local language.

He further warned Charterhouse to be wary of what they have been doing as he believes if an artiste deserves to win an award, then they should ensure the artiste gets the award.

“They should not take any stupid money and give someone’s award to another artiste just like that”, Patapaa said.

Moving on, he pointed out if you look carefully you could see the people inside were cheering for me to be given the award and it was obvious people were not happy when the award was given to Fancy Gadam.

They should watch out for me tomorrow, he concluded and walked away.
