The most ambitious and assuring vision of President Nana Addo to move our rather wobbling economy to one that is self-sustaining and aid deflective has been turned into a punching bag by many a pessimists from the opposition.
The much talked about Ghana beyond aid agenda is one adept strategic window from which we can escape from the excruciating fleece that the neocolonialist have subjected us to. The smidge actualisation of such a feat will wean us off the perennial harsh conditions that aids come with and allow the ordinary Ghanaian access to the fullest the opportunities of the nation's endowed resources offer. In cognizance of this reality, it is paradoxic for a supposed 'social democrats' to run down and sponsor media attack against what goes to the core of their ideology.
It was sheerly intriguing and tickling to observe in awe the most muted and brutally obscured ex-veep strenuous effort to stay relevant to his viciously defeated party by attempting to make the Ghana beyond aid agenda redundant. He spoke so eloquently about his confusions of the finest vision of the President. Amissah Arthur's and his opposition cohorts' misdiagnosis of the fantastic aspiration does not dignify any response from the economic wizardry of His Excellency Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.
The nexus of the government's economic framework with the 'Ghana Beyond Aid' goal will suffice to inform the cynics how comprehensibly the economic management team is working at it. Is it a well-weaved generalship by Amissah Arthur to safe his face from the abysmal disapproval he received from the functionaries of the NDC? The reality is that he cannot mask the narrative that he is a certified 'go slow' and bookish economist after evading the 170 questions from Dr. Bawumia.
Ghana Beyond Aid agenda by Government falls under four main pillars; revenue pillar, expenditure pillar, finance pillar and the alternative usage pillar. Over riding these pillars is to have a certain character transplant that reorientates the engineering of our economic policies to be moved from a foreign-funding dependant economy to local funding dependant economy.
The revenue pillar simply focuses on revenue generation and how to enforce tax compliance, the expenditure pillar deals with how funds are used to create jobs for the youth and the finance pillar is finding funds for national projects without depending on the national purse.
The posse of Nana Addo Dankwah Akuffo Addo have expended the fourteen months in salvaging the shamefully tattered economy from a bottomless pit and restore it on a sound economic footing. After making leeway in clearing the mess that was bequeathed to the Nana-Bawumia administration, all the economic variables are pointing in the right and favourable direction now.
The question that we should ask is how can a government inherit a budget deficit of 9.3% of GDP, proceed to reduce taxes, bring down inflation, bring down interest rates, increase economic growth (from 3.6% to 7.9%), increase your international reserves, maintain relative exchange rate stability, reduce the debt to GDP ratio and the rate of debt accumulation, pay almost half of arrears inherited, stay current on obligations to statutory funds, restore teacher and nursing training allowances, double the capitation grant, implement free senior high school education and yet still be able to reduce the fiscal deficit from 9.3% to an estimated 5.6% of GDP? Quite simple, this is a remarkable achievement and this is what we mean by competent economic management.
The focus of the government will not be digressed by a bundle of nation wreckers who could not justify the scarce confidence Ghanaians reposed in them. President Nana Addo remain resolutely committed to making the resources of the nation benefit the last ordinary citizen.

Ghana BEYOND AID, does it mean our presidents and vice presidents will be seeking for any medical attention within Ghana instead of going to a White man's nation ? However, every president claims to have made our hospitals better during their terms in office. Akufo Addo's claiming to have made the KATH a much better than all his predecessors.
