For over a decade now, Role Model Africa (formerly INVENTS) have been consistent in providing various interventions on human capital development. Its flagship program, the ‘Corporate Dialogue’ has distinguished itself to regularly bring to patrons stories from African business leaders across the continent. Since the creation of the Corporate Dialogue in 2015, the platform has received mentions on GTV (Ghana), Daily Sun Newspaper (Nigeria) and Africa Rizing (An offshoot of Voice of America) to mention a few. Scheduled for Sunday 25th March 2018, the Corporate Dialogue is honored to host the Group President of Meridian Marshalls Holdings (MMH); Dr. Tetteh Nettey. Dr. Nettey who was formerly a security man at Central University will share his story in an open conversation format to young entrepreneurs, professionals and business leaders at the quarterly platform at the African Regent Hotel.

Addressing the theme ‘Winning in Business’, Dr. Tetteh Nettey will put into perspective his journey from being a security man to being a Director of a global bank. The focus of his message will aim at helping entrepreneurs and business leaders at the event to identify what modules will work best for their businesses and very importantly how they can translate their failures into mind-blowing successes.

In April 2015, his company MMH the parent company of Meridian Pre-University and Marshalls College became the first educational oriented institution in Ghana to be listed on the Ghana Stock Exchange under the Ghana Alternative Market (GAX). An Alumnus of Stanford University (SEED) Business Transformation Innovation in Development Economies Programme, he holds a doctorate degree in Management, MBA degree in Entrepreneurship and a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Resource Management.

Dr. Nettey serves as Director and shareholder of the Sovereign Bank of which he has been the Chief Promoter of the bank from the beginning till the final license was issued in January 2016.

It is easy to assume the role model has had an easy life all-throughout, but no. You will find out that he has been through series of painstaking ordeals. He recalls the instance where after being relieved of his role as a mechanic, he applied for a job as a security man in a company, working there for over two years. He wrote his O-Level exams whiles a watchman and proceeded to apply for his A level courses.

In 1998 whiles pursuing his degree program in Human Resource Management at the Central University, Dr. Tetteh Netteh doubled as the security man (watch man), to enable him raise money for his education.

Dr. Tetteh Nettey will make his debut appearance on the Corporate Dialogue, the platform which has previously hosted personalities including Dr. Samuel Onwona (World Bank), Reggie Rockstone (Hiplife), Prince Kofi Amoabeng (UT Group), Michael Okyere Darko (Obrafour), Emmanuel Awumee (SESIL), Professor Akosua Adomako Ampofo (UG) and Bishop Titi-Ofei (Pleasant Place).

The Convener; Mr. Samuel Agyeman-Prempeh who is the Chairman of Role Mode Africa explains that the Corporate Dialogue is designed to be unprecedented and will attract stakeholders from various parts of Africa. The event which starts at 3pm is expected to observe seated audience 30 minutes ahead of the start of the program.
