Education forms the turning point of a man especially in early adulthood when they get to decide their career path. Education is therefore a collective effort for the society in ensuring equitable access and overtures by its citizens.

The Institute of Research and Community Planning-Ghana (IRCP) paid a visit to the Promise International School in Aboaso of the Kwabre East district of the Ashanti region to fulfil a corporate social responsibility by volunteering to give a health education talk on Adolescent Reproductive Health and other related matters such the environment and sanitation.

Among the activities undertaken by IRCP Ghana under the school volunteering are organization of seminars to guide basic school students in the school selection exercises, coach Senior High School students on the programmes offered in the various Universities with their respective cut-off points, identify the non-performing subjects in Junior and Senior High as well as identifying the cause and finding a solution to the problem.

Also, periodic IT training on courses such as database management, Microsoft Excel, Word etc. for teachers to enhance teaching and ensure quality education.

The organization represented by the Executive Director, Mr. Farhan Safyan and other key resource personnel or operatives gave the talks on the above stated thematic areas.

The interaction lasted for about three (3) hours where students took the time to ask teething questions bordering their sexual and or reproductive health and personal hygiene as well as their roles as youth in maintaining a clean and healthy environment.

The team exhausted all the questions asked by providing answers accordingly.

The event which took place on the February 13, 2018, started at 10:00am prompt and lasted well about three hours as the audience present were yelling for a nonstop show.

The Headmaster of the school, Mr. Obiri Yeboah who was much thrilled by the kind gesture of IRCP Ghana couldn't but express his profound felicitations to the group for spending time with the staff and students on a topic which hitherto was much frowned upon in our local parlance.

He further assured the team of his unwavering support anytime they intend coming over for the fulfilment of humanity duties.

The students and teachers were also thankful for the educational outreach because, this was the first time such a gesture was extended to the school to benefit.

They were all full of thanks and praises.
