The Accra Institute of Technology (AIT), one of Ghana’s most outstanding private universities has been ranked 1st among all private universities in Ghana and also 9th overall best in Ghana.
Speaking at a press briefing the President of the University, Prof. Clement K. Dzidonu noted that this achievement was earned through determination and hard-work of the school.
“As you can see currently we have about 180 accredited tertiary universities in Ghana of that we have about 92 states owned and about 87 which are private tertiary institutions in this country”
“Among these 180 universities in Ghana (AIT) has been ranked 9th in Ghana and 1st in over 87 private universities in Ghana for us this is a major achievement looking at our facilities and the type of programs we offer here. He said
He continued that this achievement will help uplift the school into higher greatness in these coming years.
“For us this is a step in a right direction this will help encourage us give out our optimum best in the years to come”
“And also (AIT) was awarded the best technology university both in the year 2016/2017 and the best international student friendly university”

AIT is affiliated to the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) for the campus-based undergraduate programs in Engineering, Computer Science/IT and Business Administration and to the Open University of Malaysia for the Open University undergraduate and postgraduate programs at the Masters and the PhD levels.
