The Member of Parliament for Weija-Gbawe Constituency who doubles as Deputy Minister for the Health Ministry has assured parents in her constituency and constituencies across the country of government's commitment to ensure that their wards are placed in SHS to benefit from the much trumpeted and awaited Free SHS promised Ghanaians by the NPP Party.
The most famous Honourable Member made this assurance on Wednesday 13th September, 2017 when she was celebrating my first day at school in her constituency with KG and Primary 1 pupils.
According to her, she has received complaints from parents saying that their wards have not been placed by the Computerised School Selection Placement System (CSSPS) and informed them that the ministry of education is doing everything possible to ensure that every child who passed the BECE is placed In his or her school of choice.
" it is important I reiterate government's plan which is to ensure that all students who passed the BECE are placed in their choice of school", she said. Government has set September 30, 2017 as deadline to put to rest all issues surrounding the school placement.
She was quick to state that, the challenges confronting the placement system is normal since such challenges reoccur each year. She assured all of government's commitment to eliminate the challenges next year.
The illustrious MP and Deputy Minister for Health pleaded with anxious parents across the country to exercise some restraints as plans are far advanced by government to placed their wards in SHS of their choice.
She was full of praise for government for rolling out the Free SHS and also for managing the challenges that came with it.
