Bimbila Gov’t Hospital gets items worth over Ghc30, 000
The Nanumba North District Assembly in the Northern Region, has presented 3 sets of home furniture and other items worth Ghc33, 000 to the Bimbilla Government Hospital, to help furnish a number of CHPS compounds built in the district.
At a short ceremony to present the items, the District Chief Executive for Nanumba North, Mohammed Ibn Abass, said the gesture is to assist the nurses who will be working in rural communities to have decent and comfortable accommodation so they can deliver quality services to the people.
“Government has committed itself to ensure that maternal mortality as well as infant mortality are reduced and so as an Assembly we have also committed ourselves to putting up a number of CHPS compounds and other facilities. To operationalize the CHPS compounds we have put up so far, we expect that with this donations the CHPS compounds will be fully furnished so that our nurses and other health workers will feel a little more comfortable to be able to deliver quality service to our people.''
He urged management of the hospital to take good care of the items.
The management lauded the assembly for the continuous support it has being given to them, and promised that the items will be put to good use and properly maintained.
