Accra, Wednesday, 14 October, 2015
Food Sovereignty Ghana supports Food for All Ghana in it's quest to build West Africa's first food bank in Ghana to create sustainable means of nutrition for the vulnerable in society through food recovery.

As part of the activities marking this year's World Food Day, Food Sovereignty Ghana has donated wood to aid the campaign in constructing a 1600m wooden table. This table when constructed will be the longest table in the world and will go into the Guinness book of world records.

The two organisations welcome the partnership of other organizations to achieve the objective of reducing the inefficiencies in our food supply chain.

To celebrate the 2015 UN world Food day, Food for All Ghana, in collaboration with Food Sovereignty Ghana will on Friday 16th October, 2015 join the FAO and partner organizations on a float and flag rising ceremony from the James town to the conference centre.

On Saturday, 16th October, we will attempt to break the Guinness world record for the longest table by constructing the table on the Osu Oxford street and therefore entreat the general public, individuals and organizations to support us.
