Team Doers Ghana gets governing board

Tamale, Aug 22, GNA - An 11-member Board of Directors has been inaugurated to assist the Management of Team Doers Ghana Foundation (TDGF), to successfully implement its mission to promote prosperity by providing diverse resources to all during normal times and emergencies.

The Management of TDGF hopes to tap into the experiences of the Board, which is chaired in the interim by Alhaji Rufai Yahaya Iddi, to guide, advise and protect members to develop achievable plans and programmes for the benefit of especially the vulnerable in the society.

Mr Mustapha Abdul-Razaq, Country Director of TDGF, who spoke during the inauguration of the Board in Tamale, said TDGF, which is in synergy with Team Doers of United States, is committed to accomplish its vision and mission to improve on the living conditions of the people.

He said TDGF would work by promoting and providing opportunities for social and economic development in the areas of education, health and skills acquisition, civic and legal rights awareness among vulnerable groups such as women, children and the youth in deprived communities.

He appealed to Members of the Board 'To get on board and to exert your wide experiences to impact on this organisation so that our people, the most deprived and vulnerable in our society, would benefit from the benevolence of our partners in the United States'.

Alhaji Iddi spoke about the need to work in collaboration with the district assemblies to ensure success.

Dr Walter Pelton Jo, Founder of Team Doers, whose message was read on his behalf, said Ghana needs serious steps to move the people forward and pledged that his organisation is ready to work with TDGF to bring relief to deprived communities in the country.

TDGF is non-governmental organisation registered in the country in 2013.
