Distinguished Ladies and Gentlemen,

I salute you all this evening. I bring you warm greetings from the Ghanaian Community in France Council (GHACIF) and the Federation of Ghanaian Diaspora in Europe (FEGHADE).

I congratulate you all for your presence at this elective platform for Miss Ghana France 2015 edition. It’s a beautiful way of showing mutual solidarity within Ghanaian Communities in France. It is also an immense opportunity to show love and commitment to our country Ghana.Ghana is all we have.

GHACIF says Gyina Pintiin Na Boa Ghana
FEGHADE says Let’s Help Build Ghana
Ladies and Gentlemen, I have good news for you. Good news that some of you already know. The FEDERATION OF GHANAIAN DIASPORA IN EUROPE (FEGHADE) has been created.

FEGHADE is the major outcome of the Diaspora Engagement Policy meeting organised by Ghana’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, ICMPD and MiEUx of the European Union in Brussels last October 2014. The leaders of the major Ghanaian Diaspora Associations in Europe attended the Brussels meeting.Brussels is the chosen Headquarters.

FEGHADE’s vocation is to be the mouthpiece and a development support mechanism for Ghana and a welfare booster of Ghanaian diaspora in Europe. Founded on the best human rights and democratic principles, it is open to all registered national associations of Ghanaians in Europe. Feghade.com is our website.

A major concern of yours is that a son of the Ghanaian Community in France in the person of myself, Hon. Osei Mensah Michael has been elected as it’s interim President. My leadership also entails my local community’s contribution and commitment.

Through an arrangement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, we have met with Dr. Afari Gyan and all the electoral commissioners of Ghana. In short, they have agreed to facilitate the vote of Ghanaians Abroad come 2020. We are just to do a sort of home work and bring the diaspora in its entirety on board.

The Ghanaian Community in France banks a good portion of good initiatives as far as commitment to Ghana and its diaspora are concerned.

I want to make a promise on this platform. As early as possible. I will propose to FEGHADE to organise Miss Ghana Europe in Collaboration with Gold Coast Events.

I trust Gold Coast Events,ghanainfrance.com under the leadership of Lydia and Patrick organisers of Ghana@58 to live up to a continental expectation and use the opportunity to push the Ghanaian diaspora further.

Long Live Miss Ghana France!
Long Live the good image of Ghanaians!!
God Bless you all!!!
