UNDP, Govt support environmental programme in Wassa West.

Tarkwa (W/R), July 16, GNA - The Centre for Remote Sensing and Geographic Information Services (CRSGIS) has donated a computer and accessories valued at 5,000 dollars to the Wassa West district assembly. The donation was in connection with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and Ghana Government Environmental Resource Management Programme in the district.

Mr Benjamin Akuetteh, applications specialist of the CRSGIS presented the items to Mr Emmanuel Kwesi Ayensu, Wassa West District Chief Executive at a ceremony at Tarkwa on Wednesday.

Mr Ayensu thanked the donors and said the items would be put to good use.

Mr Mohammed Abubakari, an official of the district assembly said the donation would go a long way to solve environmental problems in the district. 16 July 04
