Electrician remanded for threatening to attack a pensioner

Ajumako (C/R), Sept. 1, GNA - The Ajumako District Magistrate's Court has granted bail of 2,000.00 Cedis to Yaw Afiako, who threatened to kill a 73-year old pensioner at Ajumako Mando in the Central Region.

Afiako, an electrician, who hails from Ajumako Kweikrom, also in the region, pleaded not guilty and would re-appear before court on September 3.

Police Inspector Bismark Appiah told the court presided over by Mr Clement Asoma that the complainant lives at Ajumako Mando.

The court heard that on August 24, at about 0930 hours, the accused went to the house of the complainant, who was asleep and knocked at the door.

Prosecution said when the complainant woke up and emerged from his room, Afiako dared him to come for a fight.

Insp Appiah said when the police at the Ajumako head of the case, they went to the house of the pensioner and arrested Afiako.
