Twifo Praso(C/R) Jan.31, GNA - The Member of Parliament for Twifo-Atti Morkwa constituency, Mrs Elizabeth Amoah-Tetteh, has donated a set of musical instruments worth GHȼ 8,000 to the Twifo Praso Local Council of Churches at Praso.
Mrs Amoah-Tetteh, who is also the Deputy Minister of Education, donated GHȼ 6,000 from her share of the District Assembly Common Fund while the Council contributed GHȼ 2,000 towards the purchase of the instruments.
She urged the Council to use the instruments to rekindle people's interest in Christianity and urged them to take good care of it.
Reverend Obed Quayson, member of the Council thanked the Member of Parliament and expressed the hope that she would continue to assist the council regularly.
Mr Emmanuel Ato Ahmoah and Dr Francis Owusu were introduced as parliamentary candidates for the National Democratic Congress and the New Patriotic Party respectively for the 2012 general elections.
