Adoagyiri-Nsawam, Nov. 14, GNA – Students of the St Martin's Senior High School at Adoagyiri near Nsawam on Saturday spent several hours to cleanup Nsawam-Adoagyiri and its surroundings.
The students carried out the exercise at the Nsawam Government Hospital, the Notre Dame Clinic, the surroundings of Akuapem South Municipal Assembly, the Catholic Conference Centre and many other places and institutions. They cleared choked gutters, weeded, swept and collected refuse.
Speaking to the Ghana News Agency, Mr Joseph C. Atsuvi, the Headmaster of the School, said the exercise was part of activities to mark the annual celebration of the Society of Divine Missionaries (SVD), a Catholic congregation of priests.
Ms Stella Woana, a Deputy Director at the Nsawam Government Hospital expressed appreciation to the students and commended the school for their assistance and called on others to emulate them.
