Massive Rigging Going On In Anambra, Fake Police Arrive In Abba Town
The efforts of the INEC Chairman to erase rigging from the Nigerian political equation appears to have fallen on the wrong ears. The INEC Chairman, Prof. Maurice Iwu had taken the exercise in Anambra as the chance to prove the INEC can conduct a trouble free and relatively free and fair elections. This particular knowing the the former President, Obasanjo is no onger calling the shots. But politicians in Anambra have found new and advanced methods of going around the efforts of the INEC Chairman to rig elections.
It clearly appears the gubernatorial elections in Anambra has become anything but free and fair. It has become another failed exercise in democracy.
This morning [1:30am], Ukpakareports.com learnt that armed men alledgedly led by Prince Charles Tabansi, arrived at the home of Hon. Uche Ekwunife in Agu Ukwu Nri with a barrage of bullets. They attacked the home of the PPA gubernatorial candidate. Prince Tabansi is said to be a close associate of Governor Peter Obi and an APGA member.
In a related development, in Obosi, Anambra State, the removed House of Representative member and brother to the Head of FRSC [Road Safety - Osita Chidoka] in the person of Obinna Chidoka is reported to be conducting elections at his home. The rigging was said to start at his home before the official start of elections by 9am. Interestingly, the Head of FRSC had boarded a flight from Abuja on the eve of the gubernatorial elections day headed for Enugu. He boarded an Arik flight number 321 and sat on seat 3c [business class]. He was dressed in the uniform of Road Safety and was received by a legion of Road Safety agents at the Enugu airport. It is uncertain however if he is directly involved in the rigging.
Ukpakareports.com have also gathered that fake police officers were sighted at the Abba Town of Njikoka LGA. They were staged at the Abba Junction to intercept the distribution of the INEC materials. It is not certain if the materials were hijacked.
Already, communities in Orumba North and South are reported to be missing ballot papers.
