World Financial Crunch Ends In 2010- Dr. Onwona

Dr. Kwabena Duffuor THE RESIDENT Representative of the African Development Bank (ADB) in Sierra Leone, Dr. Samuel Ofori Onwona, has indicated that the financial crisis that almost paralyzed the world's economy would continue to be felt till the end of the year 2010.

The ADB representative noted that 2005 and 2010 could be referred as a very crucial period and that the pinch would definitely be felt strongly this year (2009).

Dr. Onwona, a reputed Ghanaian economist, who worked with the World Bank from 1986 till 1997, in 2000, predicted that the world would be rocked by a serious financial disaster. However, the most intriguing thing about his prediction was that, he did not use his economic knowledge acquired for many years with the World Bank and later with the African Development Bank.

The recognized economist disclosed that he got the revelation from God and actually put such a revelation in a book, 'OVERCOMING GENERATIONAL CURSES,' published by the African Christian Press in Ghana.

According to him, whilst he was with the World Bank, he was posted on External Service to ADB with the headquarters then in Abidjan. After four years' service, he resigned from the World Bank in 2001 to permanently join ADB.

As a staunch Pentecostal Christian, Dr. Onwona, who is married with four children, said in Abidjan, he formed a Bible Study and Prayer Group for professionals. The group, he said, used to study the Bible, having fasting and prayer services; and through that group, he shared most of the prophecies.

In December 2000 and January 2001, he again shared with his group what God revealed to him about the period from 2005 to 2010 and he faithfully recounted it on page 324 of the 409-page book  'OVERCOMING GENERATIONAL CURSES' :

“The Lord impressed upon me that the period 2005-2010 would be very rocky. Big and powerful nations, individuals and corporations would stumble and fall.

Hitherto powerful and, literary, untouchable personalities would experience massive turbulence.

The turmoil is ongoing. It would intensify as we approach 2005-2010. God would use natural disasters like famine, drought, floods, tornadoes, typhoons,  earthquakes and volcanic eruptions to shake nations and people all over the world. These natural disasters have happened intermittently in the past but they would intensify and become more extensive during the 2005-2010 period.

There is also a financial earthquake looming on the horizon. Overnight, multi-millionaires and billionaires will wake up to find their wealth literally eroded.

Everything man has put his trust in will be shaken, and only those who have put their trust in God will survive the shaking. This is meant to wake up the Church of the LORD JESUS CHRIST and usher in the end-time revival that we are waiting for.”

To the skeptic, the ADB official could be described as a charlatan. Nonetheless, many predictions from the economist/prophet came to pass. Despite his tight schedule in the Freetown office of ADB, he is able to keep in touch with many of his prayer group members through the internet all over the world.

Some people DAILY GUIDE contacted indicated that initially, they doubted the assertion of Dr. Onwona, but upon getting his books at Challenge Bookshops  and other religious bookshops, after reading and comparing what was happening around the world, they became convinced about his predictions.
