Mr Alfred Amuah, 29, died when an ambulance belonging to the National Ambulance Service ran over him at Asamankese, police said.
The Asamankese District Police Commander, Deputy Superintendent of Police K.G. Adu, said the body has been deposited at the Asamankese Government Hospital for autopsy.
He said the driver of the ambulance, Mr Joseph Kwasi Abraham, 38, had been arrested to assist the police in their investigations.
