PROFESSOR NII Otu Nartey, Chief Administrator in-charge of the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital has made a passionate appeal to the Government and corporate entities to assist the hospital set up a National Urological Centre.
The hospital, he said, needs between 5 and 10 million US dollars to put up the centre, which would cater for all Genitourinary Diseases.
He made the appeal at a meeting to make public Korle-Bu's success story of being the first hospital in the country to carry out a successful kidney transplant recently.
He said Korle-Bu's bid to become the centre of excellence in healthcare delivery would be a mirage if the necessary support is withheld from it.
