Bawumia tours with Alima Mahama

The NPP vice presidential candidate Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has been touring the Nalerigu/Gambaga constituency together with one time contender for Dr. Bawumia's post, Hajia Alima Mahama. Both of them visited various paramountcies in that area. Clad in party colours, Hajia Alima Mahama called on her constituents to vote massively for the NPP and herself in order that the developmental needs of the people will be realized.

At a rally in Gambaga, supporters of the party and its parliamentary candidate chanted slogans in an obvious show of support of party representatives. Dr. Bawumia addressed the crowd and promised the people of a better future with the NPP government. He reiterated Nana Akuffo Addo's promise of a free secondary education and a better health system. Dr Bawumia added that it is the desire of the NPP government to see a teacher and nursing training colleges in the three northern regions.

Speaking in the local dialect the former governor of the Bank of Ghana told the teeming crowd at Gambaga that politics is not a do and die affair. Adding that supporters of the party must ensdure that there is peace before, during and after the elections. he called on the chiefs and people in the area to do all they can to educate the people on the need to maintain the peace and unity in the country.

At Nalerigu, Dr. Bawumia visited his father's house and together with Hajia Alima Mahama paid courtesy calls on the various chiefs in the area. The women and children's affairs minister recounted the good works of the NPP government in the area citing the rehabilitation of health and educational facilities in the area. She promised that the area will continue to see real developments if the people vote to retain the NPP in power.
