Adenta Baptist Church declares Dec. 7 a ``Holiday``

The leadership of the Calvary Baptist Church at Adenta, a suburb of Accra has declared Sunday December 7 as holiday for members of the church. This means that no church service would be held on that day. The usual church service would be held on Friday, which is also a public day.

The Head Pastor of the Church, Rev George Odoi who announced this during church service yesterday said the decision, which was taking in consultation with the Ghana Baptist Convention, is to enable members of the church to exercise their franchise on the Election Day, which falls on Sunday. The Catholic Church was the first Christian faith that announced that it would not conduct service on the voting day.
