Mr Solomon Abam Quaye, District Chief Executive of the Awutu Senya District Assembly, on Monday said it was important that district heads meet to resolve boundaries problems due to newly created districts.

He said in other not to create difficulties in terms of areas of jurisdiction, “it was essential that DCEs sharing common borders meet to resolve issues arising from the creation of new district boundaries to ensure health development.”

Addressing the Friendstown Association, an association of residents committed to development at Kasoa on Sunday, Mr Quaye said people were confused as to whether they have to re-register their land documents because they now fall under a new administrative district.

He said another issue that had arisen was the repayment of property rates.

Mr Quaye lauded the formation of the association and said it would facilitate the development of the district with the provision of social amenities.

He said last year, under the District Capital Improvement Programme, the Assembly purchased 250 electric poles that supplied electricity to its capital at Awutu and environs.

Again he said another 250 would be purchased to enable other areas in Kasoa, who do not have electricity, to benefit from the service.

Chairman of the Association, Mr Emmanuel .K. Attefah, appealed to the assembly to rehabilitate a collapsed bridge, the Okurdu bridge in the area which was caused by the recent rains.

He also called for the supply of pipe borne water in some communities of the district.
