CARE International, a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO), in collaboration with the Cargill Rural Educational Programme has presented a total of 108 spraying machines and 12,000 exercise books valued at GHC24,750 to 30 communities in the Ahafo Ano North and South districts in the Ashanti Region.
Mr Patrick Sebe-Soadwa, Field Supervisor of the NGO, presenting the items at Tepa on Monday said, the gesture was in line with their objective of helping to improve upon the agricultural and educational development in the beneficiary communities.
He said similar donations were given to over 20 communities in the two districts last year, adding that, the time has come for stakeholders and corporate bodies to invest in education and agriculture.
Mr Aning Yeboah, Ahafo Ano North District Coordinating Director and other Directors, who received the items on behalf of the beneficiary communities, thanked the two organizations for the gesture and urged parents to invest in the education of their children.
