The Tarkwa Municipal Assembly has donated relief items to victims of a rainstorm disaster, which hit parts of Tarkwa and its environs recently.
The items worth GH¢3,000 include roofing sheets, mattresses, polymats and blankets.
The donation followed an appeal made by the assembly woman for Nsuta Electoral Area, Agnes Ackah, after the torrential rains that destroyed many property.
Making the presentation, Mr George Mireku Duker, Municipal Chief Executive, who also supervised the distribution, expressed his sympathy to the victims and urged the people in the area to plant more trees to help forestall such disasters.
He further advised the public to stop dumping refuse in the gutters.
Receiving the items on behalf of the victims, Ms Ackah thanked the assembly for the support and appealed to the companies and other organisations in the area to also assist.
