Fijai Senior High School to fight indiscipline

The authorities of Fijai Senior High School in Sekondi, have given the assurance that they would initiate measures to eliminate acts of indiscipline and hooliganism from the school.

They said, "We are determined to work assiduously to stamp out all forms of known indiscipline and emerging ones."

These were contained in a statement signed by Mr James Hamilton Rhule, headmaster of the school and made available to Ghana News Agency (GNA) at the weekend at Sekondi.

It disclosed, "Some students waylay first year boys on their way to school and forcibly collect money from them."

The statement said the authorities were fast closing in on undesirable students said some suspects have been suspended from the school or taken away from the boarding house.

It said the school had the required number of teachers who were giving of their best to enhance academic work.

The statement advised parents to pay the school fees of their children promptly and said the authorities "will get tougher next term in the collection of fees."
