Individuals seeking to register as members of a political party such as the National Democratic Congress (NDC) are being advised to adhere strictly to established procedures to ensure a smooth and secure enrolment process.
Prospective members are encouraged to start by visiting their local constituency office for guidance on how the registration process works. However, party officials stress that actual registration takes place at the branch level, not at constituency, regional or national offices.
Interested persons are therefore advised to connect with a trusted contact within their branch, preferably someone who knows the branch chairman or secretary, before proceeding to complete the registration.
Party representatives have also warned against online membership offers, noting that fraudulent schemes frequently target unsuspecting individuals through social media and other unofficial platforms. They emphasise that all legitimate registrations are conducted in person through recognised branch officials.
Officials further underscore the importance of patience and vigilance throughout the process, adding that proper documentation is essential to guarantee official recognition.
As the local saying goes, “Eye zuu, eye zaa” — be alert and be careful.
Following the correct procedures not only protects aspiring members from scams but also ensures their membership is valid, enabling them to fully participate in party activities and decision making.
