Medical Equipment For Winneba Hospital

CITIZENS of Awutu-Effutu-Senya District resident in Los Angeles and California and friends of Southern California , United States of America have donated educational materials and medical equipment worth 5,000 dollars to the district assembly and the Government Hospital, in Winneba.

The district assembly received reading books and files, while the hospital had medical equipment.

Kow Achen Hanson, secretary to the group, presenting the donation, said the gesture was aimed at assisting the hospital offer quality health care and improving education in the area.

Mr Solomon Quarshie Abban, the District Chief Executive, who received the donation commended the citizens for their contribution to the development of the area.

Dr Godfred Morrison, District Director of Health Service, appealed to other citizens of the area resident abroad, non-governmental organisations, churches and philanthropists to donate to the hospital.
