Sammy Gyamfi, National Communication Officer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has refuted allegations that he was seen traveling in a large convoy accompanied by police dispatch riders in Accra over the weekend.
The claim originated from a social media post by Justice Abeeku, a former Presidential Staffer under the Akufo-Addo/Bawumia administration, who alleged encountering Sammy Gyamfi in such a convoy.
In a statement dated Monday, January 13, 2025, Sammy Gyamfi labeled the accusation as “totally false and maliciously contrived to court public disaffection” for him.
He emphasized, “I was nowhere near the said convoy, nor have I ever sanctioned or used any such convoy.”
The NDC spokesperson further stated, “As an ordinary citizen of Ghana, I do not go about my business in such convoys.”
He urged the public to dismiss the fabrication with “utmost contempt.”
