Kotoko title hopes over

Asante Kotoko agonisingly see their title defence dream slip through their hands at the Coronation Park where the Porcupine Warriors were beaten 2-1 by Sekondi Hasaacas.

The Giants of the West stunned Pocurpine Warriors with two second half goals that denied Kotoko of any hopes of a successful title defence.

Goals from second half substitute, Eric Cantona and Daniel Acquaye ditched the Porcupine Warriors who now have to scramble for a Champions League place as a win for third-place side, AshantiGold on Sunday will see the Porcupine Warriors drop a step down.

However as the minutes ticked, Emmanuel Osei Kuffour gave Kotoko some glimmer of hope when he scored a late on in the game.

But that goal came too late to as the Hasaacas defence quickly reorganised themselves to ensure the left the grounds with the three maximum points.
