National Communications Officer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Sammy Gyamfi has opined that Attorney General and Minister of Justice, Godfred Yeboah Dame is not fit to occupy his office.

According to him, Mr. Dame has been a Minister of injustice instead of executing his role as a Minister of Justice.

“Godfred Dame is not a Minister of Justice but a Minister of injustice….He is capable of talking to a judge or any officer of the court to have his way,” Sammy Gyamfi alleged during an engagement with the media on Thursday, May 22.

He made the comments after the third accused person in the ambulance purchase trial, Richard Jakpa accused Attorney-General Godfred Yeboah Dame of approaching him to help him implicate Minority Leader and former Deputy Finance Minister, Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson.

In court today, the accused warned that he will spill the beans to expose the Attorney General if he is pushed.

“The A-G has on several occasions engaged me at odd hours to help him make a case against A1 and I have evidence for that. If he pushes me, I will open the Pandora’s box. I don’t understand why the A-G will accuse me of defending A1 when I’m here to defend myself.

“If he pushes me, I’ll open the Pandora’s box. I have evidence to all this,” Richard Jakpa told the court.

However, in a release from the Attorney General’s Office this evening, it has denied the allegations against Godfred Yeboah Dame.

It noted that it is rather Minority Leader Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson who has been in touch with the Attorney General to discuss the discontinuation of the ambulance purchase trial.
