Joyce Bawa Mogtari, a Special Aide to 2024 NDC flagbearer John Mahama, has criticized the newly launched government performance tracking platform for its failure to address allegations of corruption under President Nana Akufo-Addo.

In a social media post, Joyce Bawa expressed "utter surprise and disappointment" that the tracker "failed to track the performance of Akufo Addo/Bawumia’s performance on corruption."

She questioned how the platform could provide an accurate view of the government's work without measuring how it has allegedly perfected corruption in the country.

The former deputy transport minister alleged that "80% of government projects and contracts are single-sourced, and individuals and companies are handpicked by this nepotistic government and awarded juicy contracts."

In her view, "That is what this NPP government should be tracking down and paying back to the now miserably empty public purse."

The tracking platform, launched on Wednesday, April 10, is designed to provide citizens with up-to-date and reliable information on the progress and outcomes of key government projects.

It is accessible online and allows Ghanaians to monitor developments in real time via photos, videos and data visualisations.

The platform covers major initiatives under the Government's infrastructure drive, including roads, bridges, schools and health facilities.
