Next NDC/Mahama’s regime should form a dynamic ‘Plasma Team’ but not a failed ‘Solid Team’

For purposes of clarity and simplification, let us first look at the main ‘states of matter’ in Physics to appreciate why I suggest the NDC/Mahama’s regime should form a ‘Plasma Team’ but not a ‘Solid Team’.

There are other intermediate or exotic states of matter which will be not mentioned here, as that is not necessary for this non-scientific media piece.

Among the 4 fundamental states of matter, namely solid, liquid, gas and plasma, the latter is by far the most abundant, as 99% of all ordinary matter in the universe is plasma and it can also be artificially produced (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/State_of_matter).

The Bawumia’s ‘Solid Team’ has sadly turned out to be hoax, as the individuals mentioned, including with Dr. Bawumia himself as the Head, who claimed to have solid economic knowledge in the Economic Management Team (EMT) failed to deliver.

The pompous way Dr. Bawumia announced the NPP's EMT members then and the appalling macro-economic indicators now indeed ridiculed the description of such a solid EMT given by the Vice President. It may as well be that Dr. Bawumia’s Solid Team has sublimed into liquid and become gaseous state in the end, and we cannot see satisfactory economic results. Even in a solid state, there is rigidity and that has its own limitations, and this has not probably helped Dr Bawumia’s Solid Team.

I suggest that the next NDC/Mahama’s regime should rather form a dynamic ‘Plasma EMT’ because of what Plasma does and how it behaves in Science. Here is why.

Plasma, by definition, is a state of matter formed from gas either from a huge voltage difference, or extremely high temperatures. Thus, Plasma is an ionized gas. Apart from high conductivity of Plasma, it also acts independently and in a collective manner. Plasma has neither a definite volume nor a definite shape. Common examples of a Plasma include Plasma television, stars, lightning, fluorescent lights, and neon signs.

This Plasma is also dynamic and the next NDC/Mahama’s regime should thus constitute the dynamic Plasma Team for the next EMT to correct the mess created by Nana Akufo-Addo and Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.

This dynamic Plasma EMT of the next NDC government will have the ‘Plasma Potential’ to deliver on the mandate of the EMT to be chaired by Prof. Dr. Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang, as the first female Vice President of Ghana together with President Mahama and his team of Ministers in 2025.

Ghanaians will be better off to bring back the NDC/Mahama regime after this disappointing Akufo-Addo-Bawumia-led government to provide alternative transformative ideas, fresh energy, and undiluted commitment to solving our developmental challenges and addressing the corruption issues to build a better Ghana for all.

As a social democratic Party, the NDC will maximize the output of the Plasma EMT if this goes with the application of the Nudge theory, which focuses on creating the enabling environment to involve everyone to buy into alternative policy options of government and revitalize the economy and complete abandoned projects as well as build new ones.

Let us be citizens but not spectators as the current President, Nana Akufo-Addo urged all of us to do so. Ghana needs a dynamic ‘Plasma Team’ but not a failed ‘Solid Team’.
