Cape Coast North Constituency would get Astro turf before 2024 elections - Dr. Minta Nyarku

The Member of Parliament for Cape Coast North Constituency, Dr. Kwamena Minta Nyarku has stated categorically that Cape Coast North Constituency would have an astro turf before the 2024 elections.

This is in fulfilment of a promise he made some few years ago when touring his constituency.

Speaking on Live 107.5 FM, Tuesday, March 26, 2024 as part of his accounting to his constituents radio tour, he intimated that the "Astro turf for Cape Coast North would be constructed this year before the 2024 elections and my constituents can look out for it."

"The issue of an Astro turf has become a political issue within the constituency ever since he made mention it. The Nana Akufo-Addo government had initiated a policy of one constituency, one Astro turf but from the look of things. It appears government is focussing only on constituencies with NPP MPs. As a result of this, I'm compelled to raise resources to help my constituents to also get an Astro turf to improve sporting development", the MP stated.

He clarified that regarding the Astro turf, he posed a question to the sector minister on the floor of Parliament. "The answers from the minister depict that government didn't have any blueprint regarding the Astro turf construction in my constituency, hence my decision to do it myself," he stressed.

Ragga took the opportunity to thank everyone who has supported, believed and continues to support and still believes in the 'Ragga Brand and Movement' to continue to do so, emphasising that "I am grateful for your prayers, good counsel, logistical and financial support". "God-willing by the time the elections are conducted in December 2024, the Astro turf would be done."
