Nana Ampaw Kwame Addo Frempong, popularly known as Chief Buffalo and the New Patriotic Party's (NPP) parliamentary candidate for Abuakwa North Constituency, led a thanksgiving service on Sunday, February 25, 2024, to express gratitude for his victory in the parliamentary primaries held on January 27.

The thanksgiving service, held at the Central Pentecost Church in Akyem Kukurantumi, Eastern Region, witnessed the convergence of party constituency executives, supporters, and well-wishers, who celebrated the electoral triumph through songs and dance.

Addressing the gathering, Chief Buffalo attributed their victory to hard work and dedication to serving the people of Ghana. He expressed gratitude to the delegates for their confidence and overwhelming support, emphasizing the peaceful conduct of the internal elections in Abuakwa North Constituency.

Acknowledging the contributions of his campaign team, electoral coordinators, polling station executives, and supporters, Chief Buffalo reiterated his commitment to initiating projects aimed at improving the lives of constituents.

Chief Buffalo clinched victory in the NPP internal election by securing 222 votes, defeating the incumbent MP, Hon. Gifty Twum Ampofo, who garnered 202 votes.

Urging unity within the party ranks, Chief Buffalo called on delegates, executives, and party faithfuls to rally behind the NPP's cause, emphasizing the need to focus on the upcoming battle against the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the general elections.

The thanksgiving service received notable attendees including Sammy Awuku, Akuapim North Parliamentary Candidate; Kingsley Agyemang, Abuakwa South Parliamentary Candidate and head of the Scholarship Secretariat; and Korkor Asante Esq, Atiwa West Parliamentary Candidate, among others, who showed their support for Chief Buffalo's candidacy.

Chief Buffalo's thanksgiving service marked a moment of gratitude and celebration following his victory in the NPP parliamentary primaries. As the party gears up for the general elections, unity and collective effort remain pivotal in securing success against the NDC.
