Dampare has demystified policing to the admiration of all; only national wreckers can’t see it – Prof. Gyampo

Senior lecturer at the Political Science Department of the University of Ghana, Prof. Ransford Gyampo says no amount of machinations will bring down the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Dr. George Akuffo Dampare.

In a post on Facebook, he said the IGP has demystified policing to the admiration of all well-meaning Ghanaians as he makes the case that it is only nation-wreckers who do not see this.

He said people can plot and rant against Dr. George Akuffo Dampare but no one will succeed.

“For Dampare, he wants to role his sleeves and deliver an impartial policing that assures general security, promotes discipline on our roads, and protects the will of the people.

“The man has demystified policing to the admiration of all well-meaning Ghanaians. Nation wreckers aren’t wiser than the discerning citizenry. They can rant, gossip, and plan all subversive activities, but these would amount to merely romancing a stone,” Prof. Ransford Gyampo said.

Having monitored proceedings from Parliament when Dr. George Akuffo Dampare went before the Parliamentary Committee to probe the leaked audio tape of the plot against the IGP, the UG lecturer says he was impressed.

According to him, the IGP displayed maturity, emotional intelligence, and command over the issues.
