Lions survive Porcupine scare

Heart of Lions rallied back from a first half Asante Kotoko lead to draw 1-1 at the Kpando park on match-day-25.

Emmanuel Osei Kuffuor after 36 minutes put Asante Kotoko in lead when he nodded in a corner kick by Douglas Nkrumah to beat Lions goalkeeper, Richard Ahorlu.

Kotoko could have doubled their lead minutes after Osei Kuffour's opener but striker, Kwame Obeng Darko missed the goal narrowly.

Lions came back strongly and with a minute to end the half Kotoko goalkeeper, Eric Nii Baah pulled a great save to deny Sadat Bukari's goal bound shot from entering the post.

Back from recess, the homeside pushed for the equalizer and managed to draw level in 74th minute through Eric Bekoe.

Five minutes after the equalizer, Kotoko were reduced to ten men as captain, Michael Ofosu Appiah was shown the red card.
