Dr Hassan Sheik Mohamed, President of Federal Government of Somalia.

Your Excellency President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud,
I hope this letter finds you in good health and high spirits. As a concerned citizen of Somalia, I am writing to commend your leadership and express my support for the ongoing anti-corruption campaign led by your administration. The recent efforts to combat corruption and safeguard public resources have instilled hope and optimism in the hearts of many Somalis who aspire for a prosperous and equitable future.

The initiatives taken by your administration, as well as your personal dedication and vocal support for anti-corruption measures, demonstrate a deep commitment to address this pressing issue. Your unwavering stance against corruption, highlighted in your speeches, including those delivered during Friday prayers, resonates profoundly with the people. Moreover, your emphasis on the need to protect public property for the benefit of every Somali citizen lays a solid foundation for building a just and accountable nation.

I would like to draw your attention to the significance of ensuring transparency and inclusivity in the ongoing anti-corruption campaign. It is essential that these efforts are conducted openly and transparently, leaving no room for doubt or suspicion. By embracing transparency, the government can cultivate trust among the citizens, reassuring them that the fight against corruption is fair, unbiased, and truly aimed at achieving justice.

In this regard, I urge your administration to ensure that all proceedings, investigations, evidence, and charges related to corruption cases are made accessible to the public. This openness will enable citizens to monitor the progress and outcomes, fostering a sense of accountability for both the government and those being investigated. Publicizing corruption-related information will also help deter potential wrongdoers and contribute to a culture of transparency and integrity.

Furthermore, Your Excellency, I humbly request your continued efforts to address those who attempt to evade justice by fleeing the country or utilizing tribal affiliation as a shield from corruption-related charges. Establishing robust mechanisms to track down such individuals and holding them accountable will send a clear message that corruption can never go unpunished. Promoting equal treatment under the law, irrespective of tribal or ethnic background, is crucial in establishing a fair and just society where all citizens are held accountable for their actions.

Lastly, I urge your administration to remain vigilant in ensuring that no laws are enacted which disproportionately penalize the powerless while granting immunity to individuals from influential tribes. Striving for a balanced approach that upholds the principles of justice, equality, and the rule of law will reinforce confidence in the anti-corruption campaign and contribute to the development and stability of our beloved Somalia.

Your Excellency, I express my sincerest gratitude for your dedication and leadership in the fight against corruption. Somalia stands at a critical juncture, and your efforts to combat corruption and safeguard public resources are essential for steering the nation towards prosperity and shared progress.

I remain hopeful and confident that under your guidance, Somalia will witness a transformative change as we collectively embrace transparency, accountability, and the pursuit of a corruption-free society. Together, we can create a future that our children and generations to come will be proud of.

Yours sincerely,
Jibril Mohamed
